Well, I have to admit this last week was tough. All it has done is rain and I mean RAIN. I am not talking sprinkle or drizzle I am talking DOWNPOUR. We have had short bursts of sun here and there but we have had so much rain! We are talking gutter over flowing rain.
Finding the pretty was a little more difficult this week. I did manage to get my camera out in the garden in between downpours a few times and then I went to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday, in between downpours, and got a whole weeks worth of pretty!!
May 17 – Day 134
One good thing about this rain though is that it is making everything really green!! In fact one of my favorite colors in the garden is green! I loved the way the raindrops looked on this lovely hosta leaf.
May 18 – Day 135
Not only was the food delicious but the plate was so pretty.
May 19 – Day 136
I love hardy geraniums and have lots of different varieties in the garden. This particular bright, fuchsia pink is a favorite! The best part is they bloom most of the summer.
May 20 – Day 137
All this rain is bringing the roses on – just in time for Rose Festival!
May 21 – Day 138
I brought the first rose bloom of the season into the house to enjoy.
May 22 – Day 139
A trip to the Farmer’s Market brought a whole weeks worth of pretty! If you aren’t a friend of Your Homebased Mom on Facebook become one and view some more of the pretty photos I took at the market. Here’s one of my favorite booths at the market – The Tart Lady. Check out her pretty cake stands!! Wonder if she watched my tutorial??
May 23 – Day 140
Enjoying my pretty sweet peas my husband bought me at the farmer’s market – they smell so good!
Make it a pretty week!
